As the New Year approaches and you’re planning out the year ahead, here are a few New Years activities to help you plan your goals and adventures. It’s the perfect time to set intentions, make New Year’s resolutions, and try out creative activities. Whether you are looking to do a craft night to plan out your goals for the upcoming year or you are planning an end of the year craft night, you’re in the right place! Here are three fun and thoughtful activities to consider doing this year to set yourself up for success.
1. Create a Vision Board with Magazines
One of the most popular New Years activities is making a vision board. This activity allows you to visually map out your goals, dreams, and aspirations for the year ahead. To do this, gather old magazines you won’t mind cutting up along with and a poster board. Then spend some time flipping through the magazines, cutting out images, words, and phrases that resonate with you. These could represent goals you want to achieve, words you want to resonate with or places you want to visit.
Once you have a collection of clippings, arrange them on the poster board and glue them down. Don’t be scared to get creative with your clippings! The result is a great reminder of your intentions for the year. Not only is this a fun New Year’s activity, but it also helps focus your energy on your Yew Year’s resolutions and what you want to manifest. I love hanging my board in my closet so I can see it when I am getting ready. I wrote a blog last year about making vision boards with more information and details, you can check it out here!
2. Make a Digital Vision Board on Canva
If you prefer a more digital approach to your New Years activities or you don’t have magazines on hand, consider creating a digital vision board. Canva is an easy-to-use design tool and has several templates that you can choose from so you don’t have to spend hours coming up with a template.
On Canva, you can upload personal photos or search through Canva’s library of images to match your vision. A digital vision board is not only visually striking but also versatile. You can set it as your phone or computer wallpaper for daily inspiration. This way, you’ll see your New Year’s resolutions in front of you every day and it will motivate you to stay focused and determined.
For a fun and celebratory new year’s activity, why not make the popping of champagne even more meaningful? Write a goal, intention, or phrase on the label of a champagne bottle that you plan to open when you accomplish that specific goal. It could be a personal achievement like “start my own business” or a general goal like “beach vacation.” Place the bottle somewhere visible as a reminder of your commitment to your new year’s resolutions. Then, when you accomplish the goal, pop the champagne to celebrate!
New Years Activities for a Meaningful Start
As you set your New Year’s resolutions and prepare for the year ahead, incorporating these New Years activities into your routine can make your goals feel more tangible and exciting. They say goals are more likely to be accomplished when they’re written down.
Whether you’re crafting a physical vision board, designing a digital one, or planning a celebratory champagne moment, each New Year’s Resolutions activity brings its own unique form of inspiration and reflection.
