3 Halloween Holiday Decorating Ideas for Your Next Holiday Party

There are so many fun things about Halloween, the costumes, the candy, trick-or-treating, but my favorite part about Halloween is that there are so many fun and easy holiday decorating ideas! I have always been a fan of Halloween, but my love for the spooky holiday grew more than I could have imagined once I had children.

When it comes to Halloween decoration ideas and Halloween décor, you can take your vision so many ways. I am a traditional pumpkin theme with orange and black everywhere, but you can also have your Halloween decorations for your home be in other color schemes so your Halloween décor matches the aesthetic of your home-think neutral tones, pink or blush decorations, if spooky black and orange aren’t your vibe.

These holiday decorating ideas for Halloween are my favorite and I think they’ll be yours too!

1. Porch Pumpkins

My absolute favorite Halloween decorations for your home has to be porch pumpkins! Not only do these look beautiful set up, it’s easy to do and can last you through the entire fall season into Thanksgiving, not just the month of October. If you have a beautiful entry way with stair, it looks so nice with multilevels, but it can also be created without. All you need are:

  • Pumpkins, a variety. The more the better! I love mixing and matching with traditional orange carving pumpkins and multicolored fairytale pumpkins. Then add in a few mini-sized pumpkins as well
  • Crates to add depth and height
  • Add bales of hay or straw for a rustic look
  • Scarecrows add a fun element
  • Potted mums c add the perfect fall touch

2. Hanging Witch Hats

When it comes to Halloween decorating ideas for the home, I love them even more when they are super simple and easy! Floating witch hats are so much fun and these can be hung inside or outside! One of my friends loves to hang these witches hats from the trees outside her home!

  • First steam the witches hats when they arrive so there are no wrinkles.
  • Cut two little slits in the tip of the top of the witch hats and string fishing wire through both sides.
  • Use command hooks and strips when hanging from a ceiling.
  • Cut the fishing line to desired lengths and secure. Make sure to alternate lengths when hanging.

3. Tomato Cage Halloween Ghosts

These adorable and easy to make ghosts are made using tomato cages! Here is a video showing exactly how easy it is to make! You might even have all the supplies in your garage!

halloween decorating ideas
  • Using a tomato cage, tie the loose ends together with a rubber band
  • Top the tomato cage with a foam ball
  • Place a foam pool noodle through the cage for arms
  • Run white lights through the cage
  • Place white sheet over the cage and add black eyes using sticky felt

My dad was the American dream. He came to this co My dad was the American dream.

He came to this country from Egypt and built a life he could be proud of, becoming a successful business owner who owned three neighborhood bars. But to him, they were more than just bars. They were always home to familiar faces and gave people a place to go, especially on the holidays, when he would make sure everyone had a meal and a place to be.

He loved to go deep sea fishing, play video games at his bar, wear all white, put way too much sugar in his tea, smoke his Marlboro Lights, drink a Heineken, wear his 14k gold and always had wads of cash in his pockets.

But nothing put a bigger smile on his face than his grandchildren.

Losing both of my parents in six months is something I still can’t wrap my head around. It feels unimaginable. There are moments I don’t know how to process it all, or how life can possibly look the same without either of them.

But I find comfort in knowing that my dad is in heaven, and I know my mom was there to welcome him with open arms 🙏

I will miss you forever, Daddy. I love you ♥️

My beautiful mom went to heaven. She passed peacef My beautiful mom went to heaven. She passed peacefully and is no longer fighting a battle she has fought for so long.

Nothing in this world prepares you for the heartbreak of losing your mom. My mom was everything to me, and I know how incredibly lucky I have been all these years to have had her as my mother. She taught me how to work hard, to be independent, strong, and assertive.

She was a powerhouse. Tough and honest, but always fair. Her bark bigger than her bite. But let me tell you about the German stubbornness…all the way to the end. I was always so proud you were my mom. A mom who did everything, for everyone. But her favorite role was becoming Omi to my two littles.

It’s up to us to keep our loved ones’ memories alive. If you knew my mom, please comment your favorite memory of her. Some of the only laughs I’ve had recently have come from friends sharing their favorite moments with her over the years.

I promise to continue her legacy. To say her name. To teach my children what an incredible woman their Omi was and how deeply she loved them. While her proudest accomplishment was being a selfless mother to her two children, mine was being able to care for her over the last 11 years, the way she cared for me my entire life. I will forever cherish the moments we walked through the hard together.

Be free, Mom. You are out of pain now. No more suffering. Watch over us and send me the signs, I will look for you in everything we do and know you are shining down on us forever.

I love you. In Gottes Namen 🙏♥️
