The Items That Quietly Make Everyday Life Easier

best kitchen items

We all have those things that just make life easier, and honestly a lot of them are hiding right in our kitchens. I am always on the lookout for the best kitchen items that actually do what they promise and make my day a little smoother without adding clutter. That’s why I rounded up the ones I keep coming back to, the kind of things you do not realize you needed until you have them and then you wonder how you ever got along without them!

1. Apple Cutter

 things that make life easier

Okay, hear me out on this one. Yes it is called an apple cutter, but this is one of those things that make life easier because it works on so much more than just apples. Pears, potatoes, even avocados — clean slices in one press. If you are someone who skips the fruit snack just because cutting feels like a whole thing, this apple cutter is going to change that for you.

2. Pan Holder That Doubles as Lid Storage

If a lid has ever fallen on your foot when you opened a cabinet, you need this. This pan holder keeps your lids organized right with the pans they belong to, so you are not digging around every single time you cook. It is one of those best kitchen items that looks so simple but genuinely makes the whole kitchen feel more put together. Grab it here and never lose a lid again.

3. Veggie Chopper

I resisted this one for a long time because I thought, I have knives, I am fine. This veggie chopper is one of those things that make life easier in the most satisfying way. It is fast, it is versatile, and it makes meal prep actually feel manageable on a busy weeknight. Salsa, stir fry, soup, all of it goes so much faster. This is the one I use and I honestly recommend it to everyone.

4. Meat Chopper

This one is for anyone who has ever tried to break up ground beef with a wooden spoon and felt like they were losing a battle. This heat-resistant meat chopper gets the job done quickly and evenly and it does not warp or melt, which is more than I can say for some of the spatulas I have tried. Once you use it for taco night you will never go back. Shop the meat chopper here

5. Olive Oil Sprayer

This is one of my absolute favorite best kitchen items right now. It is a 2-in-1 olive oil dispenser and sprayer, so you fill it with your own oil and spray exactly what you need. No more cooking spray cans with mystery ingredients, no more accidentally over-pouring. It works perfectly for the air fryer, roasting veggies, you name it. Such a small swap that makes a big difference. You can find it here.

6. Adhesive Kitchen Towel Hooks

This is one of those things that make life easier that you probably have not thought about but will immediately wonder how you lived without. These round adhesive hooks go up in seconds and hold your dish towels exactly where you need them. Three in the set means you can put one in the kitchen, one by the sink, wherever makes the most sense for your space. No damage to your walls and no more hunting for a towel. Grab the set here.

7. Makeup Spatula Set

This one technically lives in the bathroom but it absolutely belongs on any list of things that make life easier. This large and mini silicone spatula set is designed specifically for cosmetics, shampoo, skincare, and hair products. You know that moment when something seems empty but there is clearly still product clinging to the sides? These get every last bit out. If you use expensive serums or creams this one is a total no-brainer. Shop the makeup spatula set here.

This blog was all about things that make life easier, the best kitchen items, and everyday essentials worth adding to your home. For more recommendations, visit everydaywithcassie.com.

My dad was the American dream. He came to this co My dad was the American dream.

He came to this country from Egypt and built a life he could be proud of, becoming a successful business owner who owned three neighborhood bars. But to him, they were more than just bars. They were always home to familiar faces and gave people a place to go, especially on the holidays, when he would make sure everyone had a meal and a place to be.

He loved to go deep sea fishing, play video games at his bar, wear all white, put way too much sugar in his tea, smoke his Marlboro Lights, drink a Heineken, wear his 14k gold and always had wads of cash in his pockets.

But nothing put a bigger smile on his face than his grandchildren.

Losing both of my parents in six months is something I still can’t wrap my head around. It feels unimaginable. There are moments I don’t know how to process it all, or how life can possibly look the same without either of them.

But I find comfort in knowing that my dad is in heaven, and I know my mom was there to welcome him with open arms 🙏

I will miss you forever, Daddy. I love you ♥️

My beautiful mom went to heaven. She passed peacef My beautiful mom went to heaven. She passed peacefully and is no longer fighting a battle she has fought for so long.

Nothing in this world prepares you for the heartbreak of losing your mom. My mom was everything to me, and I know how incredibly lucky I have been all these years to have had her as my mother. She taught me how to work hard, to be independent, strong, and assertive.

She was a powerhouse. Tough and honest, but always fair. Her bark bigger than her bite. But let me tell you about the German stubbornness…all the way to the end. I was always so proud you were my mom. A mom who did everything, for everyone. But her favorite role was becoming Omi to my two littles.

It’s up to us to keep our loved ones’ memories alive. If you knew my mom, please comment your favorite memory of her. Some of the only laughs I’ve had recently have come from friends sharing their favorite moments with her over the years.

I promise to continue her legacy. To say her name. To teach my children what an incredible woman their Omi was and how deeply she loved them. While her proudest accomplishment was being a selfless mother to her two children, mine was being able to care for her over the last 11 years, the way she cared for me my entire life. I will forever cherish the moments we walked through the hard together.

Be free, Mom. You are out of pain now. No more suffering. Watch over us and send me the signs, I will look for you in everything we do and know you are shining down on us forever.

I love you. In Gottes Namen 🙏♥️
